Our athletic theme this year is “ONE HEARTBEAT”. This theme has gone over well with the athletes and we would like it to catch on school wide. Just like with a heart there are several parts that allow it to function, the same is true for our football program. We feel that without the support of the employees of Elkhart ISD we could have some heart problems. These young men have worked really hard and are excited about the up coming season.
One of the things that we are going to do this season is to allow our varsity players to present their opposite jersey to an employ of Elkhart ISD on Friday morning. This means that at some point and time you have had an impact on this young man and they would like for you to wear, hold or display their jersey on game day. If you are on the high school campus you may return the jersey at the pep rally. If you are on another campus or another area of the campus it will be very important that you return the jersey to the field house at the end of the day. If we are playing on the road we will leave around 3:45, please make every effort possible to return the jersey before that time.
The coaching staff and football players want to thank you for all that you have done for them and are looking forward to seeing you at the games. No single part of the heart is more important than another, come be a part of the “ONE HEARTBEAT”.
