Planning Meeting Scheduled
All parents of Elkhart ISD students and the public are invited to attend a planning meeting for the Federal Title I programs for the 2012-13 school year to be held on Monday, May 21, at 4:30 p.m. in the High School Library. This meeting will provide patrons with information about the Title I programs offered in the district, as well as providing them the opportunity to give input into plans for the coming year. Agenda items will include instructional programs and strategies, student assistance, assessment, evaluation, professional development, parental involvement, and budgeting of federal funds. Attendees will be surveyed regarding these issues and ideas will be solicited. Survey responses in previous years indicate that most parents do not know what the Title I programs offer the students of our district. This will provide an opportunity for you to find out and to get your questions answered. Calls may be directed to Dr. Debbie Taylor, Special Programs Director of Elkhart ISD, at 903-764-8565.
Elkhart ISD is proud to announce the release of the Nutrikids Parent Portal website, this new feature will provide parents and guardians an easy and secure online payment service to deposit money into your child’s school meal account. Registration is FAST and FREE! This service will also allow you the ability to view your child’s account balance through a website called MyNutriKids.com. By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends. Also, parents will have the ability to print out a copy of their child’s eating history report. This history report will show you all dates and times that your child has purchased a lunch within the past thirty days. These new services will be available April 27, 2012. Parents will be receiving additional information, including how to establish an online account.

Friday, May 4th, EHS will be recognizing Senior Spotlight Day. Celebrate with us by wearing your favorite college t-shirt in support of the class of 2012 as they take the next steps toward realizing their future. Likewise, we will be creating a senior spotlight wall displaying pictures and college/career plans of this year's senior class. Be sure to stop by and take a look beginning the second week in May, and join us in congratulating the seniors of 2012 as they transition into college and careers.

. The minimum size for an ad with a picture is 1/8 page. Any ad postmarked after July 15 will not be accepted - it will be returned. Please write “Elkhart” on the lower left outside of your envelope. If you want your pictures returned you must send a self-addressed stamped envelope.
